- To change the subject: To stop talking about one thing and begin talking about something else especially when you don't want to talk about the first topic. You have to be careful when you say "Let's change another subject" because you could insult someone, you could be rude to someone by saying that out loud.
- Not getting any younger: May soon be too old to do something.
- Moving on: Is a phrase to indicate you want to stop talking about this topic and to talk about something else.
- Settling down: To get married and to start a family.
- Alone: To be by yourself without anyone else.
- Lonely: To feel sad because you are by yourself and don't have close personal relationship.
- Speaking out: To introduce a topic that is related to what the other person said but isn't exactly the same.
- To break up with: To end the romantic relationship with someone.Usually we use it as the ending with boyfriends or girlfriends, not married.
- Leg man: Is an informal one, referring to a man who might be attracted to a woman who has long legs.
- And now for something completely different: To change the topic of conversation but also to perhaps make a little joke.
- Diet: Refer to a kind of food you eat, normally we use the word when someone is trying to lose weight, trying to eat such a kind of food in order to not be as heavy as they are right now to be weightless.
- Shedding pounds: To lose weight.
- My sentiments exactly: Used to show that you completely agree with what the other person has said.
